''As the minister of health, I will be very diligent'' - Prof. Adewole

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, on Sunday held a special thanksgiving service in Ibadan to appreciate God for his appointment as a minister.
At the thanksgiving reception, the minister assured Nigerians that he would not disappoint them as the minister of health.
“As the minister of health, I will be very diligent, I will work together with Chief Medical Directors and we will take care of both rich and poor people by God’s grace,” he said.
Adewole, who was a former Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, said that the task before him was a demanding one and urged his wife to always endure and be supportive.

He thanked God and friends for the honour given to him.
The Chairman of the occasion, Emeritus Prof. Ayo Banjo, said that President Buhari honoured University of Ibadan by appointing Adewole as the minister of health.
Banjo described Adewole as a resourceful, talented and energetic person.
He said he proved himself during his tenure as the Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan.
The emeritus professor prayed that he would have a successful tenure and called on stakeholders to give him full support.
The Oba of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle, who was at church service, thanked God for honouring one of the sons of Ijesaland.
Adekunle enjoined the minister to work hard and prove his ability to the nation. (NAN)
