Hajj tragedy: 214 Nigerians still missing

The National Hajj Commission, NAHCON, confirmed, yesterday, that 214 Nigerians were still missing, while the death toll has risen to 99.
Public Relations Officer of NAHCON, Alhaji Uba Mana, who gave the confirmation on the teleph- one, last night, said no fewer than 41 were also injured in the stampede  at Muna, Saudi Arabia September 24.
According to him, those injured are receiving medical attention.
On compensation for the victims by the Saudi authorities., the NAHCON scribe said the federal government would soon take a decision on that.
President Muhammadu Buhari had last week asked the hajj commission to take a census of the number of Nigerians still missing, following complaints by several families that they were yet to see their loved ones who went on the pilgrimage to the Holy land.
